ELSA Delegations

What are ELSA Delegations?

ELSA Delegations give members the opportunity to represent ELSA as delegates in

renowned international organisations such as the United Nations, the Council of Europe, and

the World Intellectual Property Organisation. This extraordinary opportunity allows you to

gain insights into the decision-making processes, during the working sessions of these

prestigious organisations and forging connections with some of the smartest minds in our field.

ELSA Law Schools

What are ELSA Law Schools?

ELSA Law Schools give you the opportunity to participate in legal education across the

world at prestigious institutions. These immersive programmes occur in the winter and in the

summer, allowing members to delve into a diverse range of legal subjects in extraordinary

locations, with over 50 locations to choose from. Attendees of ELSA Law Schools are

top-tier students and young lawyers to ensure the highest standard.

The calls for both the Delegations and Law Schools will be advertised on the website and our social media platforms. Additionally, we will be hosting events to guide potential applicants through the applications to create the best application to be selected for these

opportunities.

If you are someone that wants to practice law but you are unsure how to navigate utilising your law degree

regardless of where you want to build your future career. This panel will bring together rigorous Academics

from the University of Edinburgh to give students an insight into their legal careers and the countless

opportunities waiting to be found.

This workshop will be hosted by a leading legal professional to help you boost your CV to secure vacation

schemes and traineeships.

ELSA International STEP traineeship cycle

11 th  March -April 15 th

STEP traineeships are a great opportunity to undertake work experience in a legal field in a foreign country.

These traineeships are very diverse: they are available for students from all education levels, from all

jurisdictions and from various language backgrounds. Each STEP traineeship is open to European students

outside of the destination country and can last from 2 weeks to 2 years.

The NCM is a bi-annual meeting of ELSA UK, hosted by a different university each time. All the local groups of

ELSAUK come together to receive training in workshops, vote on proposals at plenaries and attend fun socials

that strengthen the ELSA spirit of the network.
